Fits OEM-style Eaton & Whipple Superchargers. The Metco Motorsports auxiliary idler kit for the Shelby GT500 is cleverly engineered to be a simple bolt on and to be the ultimate solution to belt slippage.



The kit consists of a heavy-duty, precision-machined aluminum plate that serves as a bullet-proof mount for the included 90mm double-bearing idler pulley. The plate bolts to existing bolt bosses on the vehicle and locates the pulley just to the left of the supercharger pulley, maximizing belt wrap and eliminating slippage. No modifications to the vehicle are necessary. The ider assembly ships fully assembled, and the required fasteners and illustrated installation instructions.

    I changed the blower pulley along with a tune, throttle body, air intake and headers on back. The HP increase was noticeable but nothing that impressed me for the money I spent. I was hearing a belt noise when I got on the throttle. Looked at the belt made sure it was tight and in the pulleys correctly. Heard it again and I couldn't put my finger on what it was until I looked deeper and saw dust on a few pulleys. I did some reasearh and found you have to put an idler pulley on if you change the top blower pulley or you will get belt slip. I installed the Metco aux idler kit and it was a completely different car. Install was easy took about 15 minutes. Nothing to remover just add the pulley
