The SunCoast 10R80/6R80 transmission launch controller first addresses the issue with the factory trans-brake and loss of traction with higher horsepower vehicles with larger stall converters, by allowing the pre-loading of the driveline. By preloading the driveline, you reduce the potential of catastrophic failure from whacking the driveline coming off the factory transmission brake. This will lead to faster 60-foot times with your 6- or 10-speed platform.
Speaking of transmission brake, that is the second issue we address here. The factory transmission brake has a substantial delay when released. The new SunCoast 10R80/6R80 transmission launch controller delivers lightning-fast release that will never leave you sitting at the line.
You are in complete control of your launch RPMs with a loaded suspension. No more watching the tree and tachometer to hope you’re at your desired launch RPM every time. This new 6R80/10R80 transmission launch controller unit will deliver consistent performance with very launch.
The SunCoast 10R80/6R80 transmission launch controller also works well if you have an issue in burnout box or problems heating your tires to a desired temperature. You simply do a quick footbrake, floor the accelerator pedal, and release the button so tires can spin to heat them to your desired temperature.
This new 6R80/10R80 transmission launch controller requires absolutely NO programming—just plug and play. Control box will plug into the TPS on your pedal, then you merely secure the wires and box and run your wires for the launch button and adjustment screw. One can use a steering wheel type button or a mushroom type of button we offer for the cup holder. Our unit is unique in that there are no RPM settings since each vehicle is different in gear ratios, torque converter stalls, foot brake holding ability, and power levels—which all affects what RPM one can launch.

With desired RPM preset and locked in, press brake, press button, press pedal to floor, release button, suspension will be loaded, stage bump in as normal with foot brake. On green, release foot brake, and TPS will go 100%.

The new 10-speed platform that resides in the Coyote-powered vehicles, is nothing short of spectacular. Ford has blessed us with a plethora of gears that allow this new Coyote engine to stay exactly where it shines, singing right up top.
It goes without saying that it just seems inherent to human nature not to push what the manufacturer has so graciously given us. As with anything else, if you make it, we find a way to break it.
SunCoast is proud to bring to you our new billet 10R80 one-piece solid flexplate. This new 10r80 flexplate is manufactured from 4140 forged billet steel. It features a solid one-piece design with an integrated ring gear that has been heat-treated and oil-quenched for years of reliable service.
This new SunCoast 10R80 flexplate is also almost twice the thickness of the factory unit. This additional thickness and improvement in manufacturing material renders deflection virtually non-existent.
SunCoast has also designed this 10R80 flexplate with twice the bolt holes, allowing you to take advantage of the additional clamping opportunities that come with our SunCoast 10R80 Pro-Loc Bolt-together Converter. These additional clamping points not only ensure zero deflection, but also reduce the chance of shearing in high horsepower applications.
SunCoast engineered this flexplate with a relief ring, which prevents imparting deflection of the crankshaft trigger wheel pulse ring. This deflection of the pulse ring is a known issue in higher RPM applications.
Finally, this new SunCoast billet 10R80 flexplate is SFI-certified to a rating of 29.2. That is over 11,000 RPMs and 1,700 plus horsepower. This billet 10R80 flexplate is the toughest damn thing this side of Bangladesh. We guarantee it.
