Baer Brakes Front SS4 brake kit fits the 2005-2014 Mustang S197 with OE spindles and hubs. Also fits 2007-2012 Shelby GT500. This system features the 4-piston, S4 caliper mounted to a 11" 2 piece slot, drill, zinc plated rotor. The S4 caliper has D.O.T compliant dust and weather seals and uses the popular DR1 or HB100 pad type. Rotors are pre-assembled with NAS high grade stainless hardware. Mounting hardware is also included. The SS4+ Deep Stage system is the first drag race system designed specifically for heavy, fast cars that might also see street use. The 11" SS4+ Deep Stage system fits most 15” and larger wheels.

  • Designed to be used with 2005-14 Mustang S197 spindles and hubs. 
  • Hub maximum outside diameter of 5.75" is required for rotor to fit, machining is required if larger. 
  • Drag race pads are included, street pads are an additional purchase for cars that see the more street usage. 
  • Drag Race systems come standard in Clear or Fire Red caliper colors.

    Drag brakes

    I would start off to say that the kit is a very high-quality kit and looks great but a few things I will go into detail about. If you are using drag brakes on the street they squeal like crazy so do yourself a favor and order the street brakes. Also the drag brakes leave a lot of dust on your wheels and I mean a lot. I really have no complaints with the exception of the brakes and the fact that I wish they made a 12 inch rotor kit because 11 inches in my opinion is a little bit too small for the S1 97. I don’t know why they quit making the rear brake kits for the rear it’s a bit disappointing. Because now I have to either get light weight rotors for the rear or go with wilwood. None of these options will match the front very well.

    Didn't try them yet, made in USA, look like excellent quality , just a few things to be prepared for before you buy these #1 you will have to get the front hubs machined down for the rotors to fit on them and no one offers hubs that fit these rotors , I have a gt with regular base brakes from the factory and the hub was still to big?
    #2 15x4 weld wheels will not work unless you use a 1/2" spacer with 3" studs
    I hope they work top notch for all the trouble with the hubs , a real PIA finding a machine shop to do this , it would not have been hard to make rotors that fit the hubs on Baers end?
    #3 the break in and bedding period of the rotors and pads, I can't take my car down the road to do this, its a drag car Lol ? they should be ready to go when you use them once or don't call them drag race brakes?
    I'll let you know more when I use them at the track if they were worth all the trouble ?
